In a Nutshell

Evelyne Freitag is an international Manager, Non Executive Director and Board Advisor with experience in a wide range of industries - from healthcare and automotive to consumer goods, infrastructure and energy, pension funds and banks.

As an experienced NED (chairwoman or member), she drives - in addition to the traditional monitoring function - topics such as business model development, governance and efficiency of committee work, risk strategy and sustainable and measurable ESG implementation.
As a Board advisor, the French-German advises companies and their executive managers on their deployment strategies - especially on both sides of the Rhine - and supports them on site in their organizational development and expansion implementation.

For more than 30 years she has - as a managing director and CFO - controlled billions of sales and was responsible for thousands of employees in companies such as Daimler, Pfizer, Kraft, Pentland, Goodyear Dunlop and Sanofi.

The all-rounder is an experienced change agent and is considered a pioneer in digital transformation.
She is a sought-after speaker and author.

The Strategist

Every revolution starts with a vision - and is profitable in the end. That is Evelyne Freitag's maxim, whether in Executive management Boards or in Supervisory Boards. The impressive record of her career: established the European Smart dealer network and developed mobility concepts, M&A activities for debis in Europe, introduced the direct-to-pharmacy distribution strategy for Pfizer, developed a powerful multi-brand organization at Pentland, business transformation and digital business models at Goodyear and Sanofi, investments in digital health & life sciences as a public-private partnership with the state of Hesse at Future Capital AG and developing sustainability goals and measurement at the Hoechst pension fund and most recently for the pioneer in solar and hydrogen technology HPS Home Power Solutions and the KfW IPEX-Bank.

The Financial expert

Whether pharmaceuticals, automotive, IT and critical infrastructure, consumer goods or banking and insurance - Evelyne Freitag is globally active in various industries. For more than 30 years, the international top manager has held commercial responsibility as Managing director and CFO and knows about the operational and strategic challenges of fast-growing, listed corporations and their subsidiaries. She managed thousands of employees, ensured efficiency and growth and controlled billions of sales at Daimler, Pfizer, Kraft, Pentland, Goodyear Dunlop and Sanofi.

She is taking on mandates in various supervisory and advisory boards - from digital SMEs or start-ups to one of Germany’s largest pension funds as well as for key players in the sustainability transformation - and as a chairwoman, she repeatedly assumed strategic and legal responsibility.

The driver of innovation

Where is the path leading? What is the impact of the Internet of Things? Which business models will survive in a digitally networked world? Do sustainability goals and ESG topics only bring additional reporting requirements or do they also hide opportunities for companies? How do we lead companies into a globally unpredictable and uncertain future?

As a pioneer in digital transformation and an experienced change agent, Evelyne Freitag has implemented comprehensive reorganizations, company integrations and fundamental change processes, convincing and inspiring those affected in the process and new environment.
Already at a young age, she was involved in the introduction of the innovative SMART car and mobility concept and developed the revolutionary "pay-per-use" model with her team.

The Cosmopolitan

Borders are there to be crossed: since the beginning of her career, the French-German woman has worked for English, German, American or French groups in Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland. She confidently commutes between the most diverse stakeholders, whether owner or investor, customer or supplier, employee or authorities. Evelyne Freitag also repeatedly demonstrates social commitment, as an advisor to the public and private sectors in her role as French Foreign Trade Advisor in Germany, as Managing Director of the Hertie Foundation on diversity subjects, on the Women’s Advisory Board of HypoVereinsbank on social issues or as regional board member of the “Financial Experts Association” on supervisory board matters.

The Speaker

Evelyne Freitag publishes articles and guest commentaries in business newspapers and books and gives lectures and keynotes at financial and business conferences. Her focus is on topics such as digitalization, leadership, innovation, sustainable business and financing models as well as the development of governance and compliance in organizations:
How do we ensure sustainability and performance in all areas? How do we implement ESG topics concretely? What does that mean for our society? How much diversity, what new skills and organizational forms do forward-looking companies need? And what does the digital transformation or an ESG strategy mean for our business models and our working environment?
